Alacant's Website followed the construction of GRAN
ALACANT'S SPORTS HALL - PHASE 2 where the outside
sports and garden zones were constructed. This included
tennis courts, padel courts, petenca courts and green
zones |

ALACANT'S ALLOTMENTS are located adjacent to the Clot
and opposite Urbanization Mediterraneo on the lower
part of Gran Alacant. Construction
work began in May 2010 with the project costing 50,000,00€

ALACANT'S FIRST ROUNDABOUT TO FEATURE A CASCADING
FOUNTAIN. The project cost 162,000€
and the objective to improve the safety at the roundabout
near Gran Alacant's School |

the construction of Gran Alacant's Roundabout a NEW
PERIMETER STONE WALL was erected around the roundabout.

GRAN
ALACANT'S MUNICIPAL PARK opened in February 2010 with
a surface area of 5000m2. The entrance is designed
as a meeting place for residents. It can be found
in the middle part of Gran Alacant close to the Post
Office |

There
is another GRAN ALACANT PARK and this is situated
in the lower zone of Gran Alacant along Avda Noruega.
It is smaller than the Municipal park; with two petancas,
children's play area and open space. Works for this
project was completed in October 2009 |

There
is a pathway at the edge of the Clot del Galvony which
runs parallel to Avda Polonia and urbanizations Costa
Hispania, Mediterraneo and Monte y Mar. Enjoyable
cycle rides and walks. The path is situated between
the Gran Alacant Allotments and beach |

WIDE
PAVEMENTS , bus shelters, benches, bins and trees

NEW
STREET LIGHTS errected on the beach road during June
2013. These can be seen from the bus stop towards
the start of Arenales promenade |

PALM
TREES were added to the Carabassi Beach during May
2013. These palms will give sunbathers some shade
during the hot summer months |

BEACH
WALKWAYS are designed not to get in the way of the
wind as it transports sand deposited on the beach
and dunes. These were completed in January 2010 |

Carabassi
Beach was dug up in early 2010 in order to lay pipes
for FOOT SHOWERS that we see now by the beach walkways
