Playa el Carabassí walkways, foot Showers, signs…

From 2010 until 2015 Playa el Carabassí there were many improvements like walkways, showers and fencing to protect the dunes. 

Walkways

Construction of the walkways were completed in January 2010. Access to the beaches use walkways that are designed to preserve the precious dunes. 

Foot Showers

Construction of the showers were completed early 2010 where the beach was dug up in order to lay pipes in preparation for the showers.

Ecosytem Signs

Eco-System signs were installed at the entrances to all walkways. Installation was complete by January 2010.

Elche Council has some of the best presented dune systems in the peninsula.

Fencing

In October 2015 Elche Council erected fences along the Carabassi beach in order to protect the dunes which is a conservation area.
