Gran Alacant´s Market Officially Inaugurated
More than a profession, a way of life
Gran Alacant’s market has been given the name El Chato after one of the most symbolic street traders of Santa Pola: Alejandro Amador Molina El Chato.
The market was officially inaugurated on Friday 21st November 2014 by Alejandro´s widow Doña Laura Torres Martinez accompanied by Santa Pola’s Mayor Miguel Zaragoza.

Gran Alacant´s Market begins operating at the new site from Thursday 27th November 2014.
Gran Alacant´s market is approximately 12,000 m2 providing a total of 140 stall positions with 100 parking spaces, cafeteria and services.
The market is located on Avda Escandinavia in the upper part of Gran Alacant adjacent to the sports centre.
